A full eternity band of emerald-cut lab-created peridots in a full bezel setting — handcrafted in Jaipur from solid 925 sterling silver or gold alloy. Peridot is the gem variety of olivine ((Mg,Fe)₂SiO₄, Mohs 6.5–7), an iron-magnesium silicate. Unlike most coloured gemstones, whose colour comes from trace impurities, peridot’s vivid yellow-green to olive-green colour is produced by iron that is intrinsic to the mineral’s own chemistry — iron is a structural component, not an impurity. This means peridot cannot occur in any other colour: all peridot is green. Lab-created peridot reproduces the olivine composition and the iron chromophore. The emerald cut (rectangular step-cut with parallel rows of facets) draws the eye into the depth of each stone rather than maximising surface sparkle, allowing the full saturation of peridot’s iron-caused colour to read across the long, mirror-like facets. In a coloured transparent stone, step-cut geometry complements colour depth more directly than a brilliant cut, which tends to break up colour saturation with white-light return. The full bezel setting — a continuous metal rim surrounding the entire perimeter of each stone — is one of the most secure setting types and provides additional girdle protection for peridot at Mohs 6.5–7. The continuous eternity format means stones wrap entirely around the band; the ring cannot be conventionally resized after purchase. Please read the sizing note below before ordering.
