This lab emerald eternity band features a continuous row of lab-created emerald-cut emeralds set in a bar setting across the top half of the ring, with a smooth polished shank for the lower half. In the bar setting, a narrow perpendicular metal bar runs between each adjacent pair of stones along the band’s face, holding each stone at its left and right sides while leaving the stone’s top face (table) and bottom fully open. The stones sit close together with only the bar wires visible between them — a setting where the stones appear nearly continuous across the band’s face. A bar setting uses narrow metal bars running perpendicular to the band’s shank to hold each stone at its sides, rather than prongs at the corners or a bezel around the perimeter. Each bar serves double duty — it holds the stone to its left at its right side, and simultaneously holds the stone to its right at its left side — so the total number of bars in the band equals approximately the number of stones plus one (one bar between each pair and one at each end). About Lab-Created Emerald

Emerald is a variety of beryl (beryllium aluminum silicate, Be₃Al₂Si₆O₁₈) whose vivid green color is caused by trace chromium and/or vanadium substituting for aluminum in the crystal structure. Lab-created emerald has the same beryl composition, chromium/vanadium color mechanism, and optical properties as natural emerald. The significant practical advantage of lab-created emerald in a multi-stone eternity band is color matching: a half-eternity band requires multiple stones of identical color, saturation, and cut to read as a uniform continuous band rather than a visibly mismatched row.
