Moissanite is a distinct lab-created gemstone with a higher refractive index than diamond, producing exceptional fire and rainbow-like light dispersion. Mohs hardness 9.25. Cubic zirconia (CZ) is a synthetic stone that is visually similar to diamond but softer (Mohs 8–8.5) and more affordable. Both are conflict-free.

Are the pink stones natural sapphires? No — lab-created. Lab pink sapphires share the same chemical and physical properties as mined sapphires, offering the same vivid colour and durability, but are conflict-free and more accessible in price.
