An oval lab-created ruby in a prong setting, surrounded by six marquise-cut lab-created blue sapphires in a floral cluster arrangement — handcrafted in Jaipur from solid 925 sterling silver or gold alloy. Ruby and blue sapphire are the same mineral: both are corundum (aluminium oxide, Mohs 9), differentiated only by trace elements. Chromium gives ruby its red; iron and titanium give sapphire its blue. This ring places one mineral in its two most celebrated colour expressions side by side: a warm deep red centre within a cool regal blue frame. The six marquise sapphires radiate outward from the oval centre in a petal arrangement — the pointed ends of the marquise cuts extending the visual reach of the cluster and giving the setting its floral, organic character within an otherwise geometric Art Deco composition. The warm red / cool blue pairing sits at opposite ends of the warm-cool spectrum and produces a high-contrast complementary combination that reads as bold and deliberate rather than decorative.
